These two bred in box 84 last season and in box 48 this past season and now they are back near box 84 for their annual moult. They have done very well these two, raised two chicks and it looks like they are both very fat and happy. Good job all around!
These two unfortunately did not raise any chicks this season but their pair bond appears to be intact. Here they are moulting in early March.
These two did not do so well this season and had the summer off after their chicks died. Now they both needed a bit of TLC in rehab. Holger had Malaria, now all good and moulted, and Danni had an infection that was hard to move. She is finally doing better and has got the munchies in preparation for the moult. We will keep her for a while yet to make sure that she is going to be ok.
We didn't get to see much of this pair this summer because their chick died (probably of Malaria) after we had treated it successfully for Diptheria. They have taken the summer off and were looking fabulously fat going into the moult.
As we were so very blessed with so many chick sponsorships and I wanted to report on all of them, posts on sponsored adults are behind time - these two for example moulted back at the end of February. Over the coming weeks I will be posting on all sponsored adults we were able to identify or guess. Thank you to our sponsors for your patience, you truly bless us and the penguins! |
